The aim: to provide a short but sweet jingle to help cement the brand of Arthritis Foodie - a flourishing online community providing support, advice, recipes and nutritional tips to those - at all ages - suffering from arthritis, with an aim of using natural remedies, exercise, products and lifestyle changes alongside medicine to live well and feel more positively about arthritis.
I kept the tone warm, sweet and optimistic to align with Arthritis Foodie's wholesome, forward-looking approach.
We went with a distinctive 'chopping' sound on the end of the jingle to line up with dotting the two 'i's. Works perfectly!
Would you kill someone if you could get away with it...?
A fascinating monologue written and directed by the dynamic duo which is Patrick & Bethany at Dark Avenue Film. And a gets-under-your-skin performance by Freya Kingsley.
I scored this entire near-11 minute film, complete with a brief foray into some sinister sound design...I felt the eerie, twisted nature of the piece was calling for some unnerving tapping and creaking sounds to come in and out of focus alongside the music. I was playing the 'The Last of Us' game at the time...can you tell?
Part of my inspiration for the score was the woodwind focus of Carter Burwell's 'Mildred Pierce' (TV series) soundtrack.
